Te mapa
Ogawamachi lies in the Hiki hills of central Saitama, where the Kantō plain gives way to the first low mountains. From above, the town fills a basin. Its centre sits on the valley floor, rivers wind through it, and roads follow the valleys out toward the surrounding hills. Forested slopes close in on most sides, so the built-up area has a distinct, contained outline.
The town is known for washi, traditional Japanese paper. Its Hosokawa-shi craft is part of the washi papermaking tradition recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Paper and printing suit each other, and it feels fitting to see a papermaking town drawn in ink. Ogawamachi has also been called a small Edo of the Musashi region because of its older merchant streets.
An Ogawamachi map poster works because the landscape shapes the town so clearly. In black and white, the valley roads read as fine branching lines, the rivers as soft curves, and the hills as quiet empty space around them. The layout is modest but balanced, and it suits the Paper and Sand styles especially well.
The centre sits on a flat valley floor ringed by wooded hills. That gives the town a compact, clearly bounded footprint on the map.
Small rivers curve through the basin and out along the valleys. Roads and settlements follow them, which gives the drawing its gentle flow.
Ogawamachi's washi tradition is recognised internationally. The old centre where papermaking and trade grew up is still the densest part of town.

Koteā ko Ogawamachi
The town appeals to people who care about paper and craft, to anyone who has hiked the Saitama hills, and to families with roots in the Hiki area. A precise, minimal map suits a place defined by careful handwork.
You can title the poster in your own words and add a date or a line of coordinates. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files include six print sizes as 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs.
