Te mapa
Olindina lies in the northeast of Bahia, in the dry interior of Brazil's Northeast, between the coastal zone and the sertão. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets with a highway passing close by, surrounded by pasture, scrubland and scattered farms on gently rolling ground.
Like many towns in the region, Olindina grew as a local centre along a main road, serving the farms and rural communities around it. The layout reflects that: a central square and a few main streets, blocks spreading out from them, and a clear edge where the town meets open land. Small reservoirs and seasonal streams mark the countryside beyond.
An Olindina map poster shows a place at a human scale, with a tidy street pattern, the road that links it to the rest of Bahia and the wide landscape around it. In black and white, the simplicity of the plan becomes the point, and it makes a clean, meaningful image for anyone who calls the town home.
Streets are laid out in a mostly regular pattern around the centre, forming neat blocks that read clearly at poster scale.
A main road passes the town and connects it to other parts of Bahia, forming the strongest single line on the map.
Pasture, scrub and small reservoirs surround the town, leaving wide open space that frames the compact street plan.

Koteā ko Olindina
Many people from Bahia's interior have moved to Salvador, São Paulo or abroad, and a map of Olindina is a simple way to keep the home town on the wall. It also makes a warm gift for parents or grandparents who still live there.
