Te mapa
Ouardenine lies a short distance inland from Monastir, in the low, gently rolling Sahel that runs along Tunisia's eastern coast. From above, the town is a dense core of small blocks and narrow lanes. Its streets thin out towards the edges, where the regular geometry of cultivated land takes over and fills the rest of the frame.
The Sahel is known for its olive groves, and the land around towns like Ouardenine is shaped by that long agricultural tradition. On a map this reads as fine, repeated field boundaries and rural tracks that fan out from the settlement. They connect it to neighbouring towns and to the larger coastal cities of the governorate.
A Ouardenine map poster shows a quieter side of the Monastir region than the coastline and its resorts. The drawing shows how the town holds together: a tight centre, roads leaving in several directions and a landscape that stays open and even. In black and white the contrast between built fabric and farmland gives the print a clear rhythm.
The centre is made of closely packed blocks and short lanes, a pattern common to Sahel towns. From above it forms a dark, textured mass in the middle of the poster.
Roads leave the town towards neighbouring settlements and the coast. They cut across the surrounding land as long, slightly curving lines that anchor the composition.
Beyond the built edge the map opens into farmland and rural tracks. The lighter linework sets off the town's dense centre.

Koteā ko Ouardenine
For families with roots in the Monastir region, or anyone who has spent summers in the Sahel, a map of Ouardenine is a personal reference point. It is a way to keep a specific town on the wall rather than a generic image of the coast.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit the gift, for example the family name or the year someone left. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to match the room.
