Te mapa
Paillaco lies in Chile's Los Ríos Region, south-east of Valdivia, in the rolling agricultural country of the central valley. The Pan-American Highway, Ruta 5, runs past the town, and from above the main road is the clearest organising line, with the grid of streets set out beside it.
The land around is given over mainly to pasture and dairy farming. On the map, that shows as a loose pattern of rural roads and field edges, with small rivers and streams winding through the lower ground. The town itself is compact, a tidy block of streets in a wide, soft landscape.
A Paillaco map poster captures this rhythm of highway, town grid and farmland. It is not a dramatic plan, and that is its appeal: a well-proportioned small town in the green south of Chile, presented cleanly enough to show how simply it is put together.
Chile's main north–south highway runs alongside the town, a strong continuous line that frames the smaller streets and links Paillaco to the rest of the valley.
The town centre is laid out in regular blocks, typical of southern Chilean towns, forming a neat cluster within the open countryside.
Streams and small rivers wind across the surrounding farmland, adding curving lines to a map otherwise dominated by straight roads and field boundaries.

Koteā ko Paillaco
Paillaco is home to families who have farmed the Los Ríos valley for generations, and a waypoint for many who drive the long road south. A map of the town gives that place a permanent spot on the wall.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the pastoral surroundings a soft, printed feel.
