Te mapa
Panarukan is a coastal town in Situbondo Regency in East Java, on the flat northern shore of the island facing the Madura Strait. On the map the coastline runs almost straight, and the town gathers behind it in a loose pattern of streets, villages and irrigated fields, with the land rising gradually toward volcanic uplands further inland.
The town has a long history as a port. It is best known as the eastern end of the Great Post Road, the highway across Java built in the early nineteenth century under Governor-General Daendels and often described as running from Anyer to Panarukan. That coastal road still crosses the region and remains one of the main lines on the map.
A Panarukan map poster is mostly about texture: small roads and village clusters scattered through farmland, a main road running along the coast, and the sea taking up one side of the frame. It is a calm composition with one historic thread running through it.

The coast forms a long, fairly even edge on the map, with open water to the north and fishing and harbour areas close to the shore.
Inland, settlements spread in small clusters between rice fields and plantations, creating a dense, fine-grained pattern of lanes rather than a single urban core.

Koteā ko Panarukan
For people from Situbondo, or for anyone interested in the story of the Great Post Road, Panarukan is a meaningful name. A map poster turns the town and its coast into a simple piece that fits a home or a study.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family village or a date, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper and Sand suit the soft coastal patterns.
