Te mapa
Panay is a large, roughly triangular island in the Western Visayas of the Philippines, divided among the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo. A mountain range runs down its western side, close to the coast of Antique, and to the east of it the land spreads into wide river plains of rice fields, towns and roads that fan out across the interior.
Iloilo City, on the south-east coast, is the largest city, set on the Iloilo River across a narrow strait from the island of Guimaras. Its old districts keep a number of heritage buildings from the Spanish and American periods. Roxas City in Capiz lies on the northern coast, and off the north-western tip the small island of Boracay draws visitors from around the world.
The church of Miagao on the southern coast is one of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines listed by UNESCO, and Kalibo in Aklan is home to the Ati-Atihan festival. A Panay map poster sets all of this within one outline: the western mountains, the dense road network of the plains and the scatter of islands along every coast.
A mountain chain runs close to the west coast, leaving Antique with a narrow shoreline strip and pushing most roads and towns into the eastern lowlands.
At the south-east corner the city's streets meet a narrow strait, with the island of Guimaras lying close enough to share the frame.
At the north-western point, the jetty at Caticlan faces Boracay across a short stretch of water, the island's best-known neighbour on any map.

Koteā ko Panay
Panay is home for many Ilonggo and Aklanon families in the Philippines and abroad, and a map of the whole island brings together provinces, hometowns and the sea routes between them. It works well as a gift for someone living far from the Visayas.
Add a hometown, a family name or a date to the title and subtitle, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries, or download the $9 HD files.
