Te mapa
Phitsanulok follows the Nan River, which runs roughly north to south through the city. From above, the river is the organising line: the older centre sits close to its banks, and newer districts, the railway and main roads spread out across flat, open farmland. Bridges cross the water at short intervals, giving the city a ladder-like structure.
The city is one of the oldest in Thailand and is known for Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, whose seated bronze Buddha, Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, is among the most revered images in the country. Phitsanulok is also the birthplace of King Naresuan, and the old riverside houseboats have long been part of its identity.
A Phitsanulok map poster turns that river-shaped layout into a clean graphic. The Nan draws a long, gently bending line down the page, the dense centre gathers around it, and the roads fanning outward show the city's role as a crossroads between central and northern Thailand. Its simplicity makes it well suited to monochrome styles.
The river runs the length of the city and sets the direction of its streets. It forms the most striking shape on the map, split by a series of bridges.
The densest part of the city, including its best-known temple, lies close to the eastern bank, where the street pattern is tighter than in outer districts.
The northern rail line and major roads cut clean lines through the surrounding plain, linking Phitsanulok toward Bangkok and toward the northern provinces.

Koteā ko Phitsanulok
A map of Phitsanulok is a way to keep a city of temples, river mornings and family visits in view. It suits students who studied there, people from the province living elsewhere, and travellers who used it as a base.
