Te mapa
Lak Si is one of the districts of Bangkok, on the city's northern side between the older inner neighbourhoods and Don Mueang, home of the city's first airport. It is not a separate town so much as a stretch of the capital with its own character. On a map it is defined by big roads running north to south and the dense lanes that fill the spaces between them.
Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and the railway corridor both run through the district, and the railway is now partly carried on the elevated SRT Red Line. Chaeng Watthana Road cuts across toward the large government complex that houses many national offices. Between these corridors, narrow sois branch off at right angles, and a few canals left from the old waterway network still run in long lines through the housing.
A Lak Si map poster shows how this part of Bangkok is built: straight transport spines, a tight fabric of small streets, and the occasional large open block of an institution or housing estate. In monochrome the traffic disappears and only the underlying structure remains. It is surprisingly orderly for a district most people know from the window of a car or a train.
This broad avenue links central Bangkok with Don Mueang and forms the strongest line on the map, with the rail corridor running roughly parallel to it.
Off Chaeng Watthana Road, the Government Complex appears as a large, regular block of buildings and open ground. It stands out clearly from the fine residential lanes around it.
Old khlongs still run through the district in long straight lines. Between them, sois branch off the main roads like the teeth of a comb, giving the poster its dense texture.

Koteā ko Lak Si
Lak Si is where many people in Bangkok actually live and work, commuting along the northern corridors rather than through the tourist centre. A poster of the district is a personal choice for someone who rented a first flat here, worked in the government offices or grew up off one of these sois.
You can personalise the title, a subtitle or a date, and the coordinates line, and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the framing before you buy the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
