Te mapa
Playas, officially General Villamil, is on the Pacific coast of Guayas Province in Ecuador. The ocean defines its map. A long, nearly straight beach runs along one edge, and the town's grid of streets sits behind it. Beyond the town lies the dry coastal plain that stretches inland toward Guayaquil.
It is the closest open-ocean beach to Guayaquil, and for decades city residents have come here on weekends and holidays. The town is also known for its fishermen, some of whom still use traditional balsa rafts along the shore. The street layout is mostly regular, with blocks running at right angles to the sea.
A Playas map poster has a strong, simple structure: open water on one side, a clean coastline, and a grid of streets pushing up to the sand. It is one of the clearest compositions a coastal town can offer, and it is a good reminder of summers on the Ecuadorian coast.
A long, straight beach runs along the entire edge of the town. The large blank ocean area gives the poster a calm, balanced shape.
The streets form regular blocks running inland from the beach. The orderly pattern contrasts with the open expanse of water beside it.
Inland, the built-up area gives way to dry coastal land crossed by the road to Guayaquil. It forms a pale margin on the side away from the sea.

Koteā ko Playas
Playas suits families from Guayaquil who have spent summers here, people who grew up in the town, and anyone who likes the simplicity of a beach map. It keeps a sense of the coast even far away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a summer date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the beach especially well.
