Te mapa
Porto Real lies in the south of Rio de Janeiro state, in the middle Paraíba do Sul valley, between Resende and Volta Redonda. It became an independent municipality in the mid-1990s, after separating from Resende. Soon after, it gained a large automotive plant, and industry has shaped much of its growth since.
The map shows several scales at once. The Paraíba do Sul river winds through the valley in broad meanders. The Via Dutra highway linking Rio and São Paulo runs close by, and large factory sites form big, simple shapes against the finer residential streets of the town. Hills rise around the valley and limit where the town can spread.
A Porto Real map poster brings those elements into balance. The river's curves soften the hard edges of the industrial blocks, and the residential grid fills in the space between them. It is an honest portrait of a working town in a green valley, and it looks clean and modern on the wall.
One of south-east Brazil's main rivers loops through the valley in wide bends. On the poster it adds the most fluid line to an otherwise geometric composition.
Large factory and logistics grounds appear as bold, simple outlines, contrasting sharply with the finer residential streets. They reflect the town's recent economic identity.
The main highway between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo runs through the region, drawing a long, decisive line that connects Porto Real to the wider valley.

Koteā ko Porto Real
Workers who came for the factories, families who built lives here, and people from the Paraíba valley all have reasons to keep this map. It records a town that is young but already has a clear character of its own.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a starting date at the plant or a family name. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
