Te mapa
Pyu is a town in the Bago Region of Myanmar, on the main corridor between Yangon and Mandalay. On a map the highway and the railway run close together through town, giving it a long, north–south shape, with markets and houses along these lines and fields stretching away on both sides.
The town lies in the valley of the Sittaung River, a fertile, low-lying area where rice farming dominates the landscape. Small waterways and roads connect Pyu with nearby villages, while the main transport routes link it with larger towns further north and south.
A Pyu map poster reflects a classic corridor town. The parallel lines of the road and railway form a strong vertical axis, with shorter streets branching off them and a gentler texture of fields and villages around. It is a clear, quiet composition that shows how transport routes have shaped life in the valley.
The Yangon–Mandalay highway and railway run side by side through town, forming the dominant line on the map and shaping Pyu's elongated form.
Short streets branch off the main road into the town centre, where markets and shops are concentrated, forming the densest part of the map.
Rice fields and small waterways of the Sittaung valley surround the town, providing open space that frames the settlement.
