Te mapa
Qiryat Ata is one of the Krayot, the group of towns north of Haifa around Haifa Bay. It sits on the eastern side of the Zebulun Valley, where the flat coastal plain begins to rise toward the Lower Galilee. The map reflects that. The western districts are laid out on level ground, while the eastern streets bend and curve as they climb the slopes.
The town was founded in 1925 as Kfar Ata, and for many years it was known for the Ata textile factory, whose clothing brand took its name from the town. Main roads connect it with Haifa, the other Krayot and the Galilee, and industrial areas sit along the lower ground.
From above, the town is a mix of neighbourhoods of different ages, some older and low-rise, others newer and denser. A Qiryat Ata map poster shows how the town moves from plain to hillside, with the Haifa Bay area to the west and open hills to the east.
The town is spread across the transition from the flat Zebulun Valley to the Galilee slopes. Straight streets on the plain turn into curving roads on the hills.
Qiryat Ata connects with the neighbouring Krayot and with Haifa through a network of main roads. On the map it reads as part of a larger cluster around the bay.
The eastern districts follow the contours of the rising ground. Their curving streets give the poster a softer, more organic pattern.

For people who grew up in the Krayot or who have family in Qiryat Ata, the map captures a place that feels like home. The shift from plain to hills also gives the poster a pleasing structure.
