Te mapa
Qiryat Yam lies on the shore of Haifa Bay in northern Israel, one of the group of suburban towns known as the Krayot, north of Haifa. From above, the town is defined by the long, straight coastline of the bay on its western side and by a compact, orderly street plan inland.
Founded in the mid-twentieth century, Qiryat Yam grew as a planned residential town, and its layout reflects this: parallel streets, apartment blocks, parks and schools, with the beach and promenade along the sea. To the east and south, it merges with the neighbouring Krayot, while roads link it to Haifa and Akko.
A Qiryat Yam map poster shows the clean line of the shore, the regular streets behind it and the continuous suburban fabric of the bay. In black and white, the contrast between the open sea and the gridded town gives the print a crisp, calm balance.
A long, straight beach runs along the town's western edge, forming a clear line between the sea and the town on the map.
Qiryat Yam's streets follow an orderly pattern, typical of towns built in the mid-twentieth century, with regular blocks and green spaces.
The town is part of a chain of suburbs around Haifa Bay, and its streets connect continuously with neighbouring towns to the east and south.
