Te mapa
Quillabamba is the capital of La Convención province in the Cusco region. It sits in the warm high jungle below the Andes. The Urubamba River runs through the valley and sets the town's long, narrow shape. The streets form a grid that stretches along the valley floor and stops where the slopes rise steeply on either side.
From above, the town reads as a band of blocks pressed between water and mountains. Bridges link it to the opposite bank, and roads climb out along side valleys toward coffee and cacao farms. Contour lines crowd around the settlement, so even a flat drawing conveys how enclosed the valley feels.
Quillabamba is often called the city of eternal summer for its mild climate. The province is well known for its coffee and cacao. A Quillabamba map poster shows the geometry behind that setting: a rational grid laid into a narrow river valley, with the Urubamba always close by.
The river runs the length of the valley beside the town, fixing its narrow orientation. It is the strongest natural line in the drawing.
Straight streets fill the limited flat ground. The grid is long and narrow, and it ends abruptly where the terrain begins to climb.
Steep, forested hillsides rise on both sides. Winding roads climb them toward farms in the surrounding high jungle.

Koteā ko Quillabamba
Quillabamba is a place people remember for its warmth after the cold of the Andes, and for its coffee farms. A map of the valley grid keeps both the town and the journey in view.
