Te mapa
Ramos Arizpe lies in southeastern Coahuila, immediately northeast of Saltillo, and the two now form a single metropolitan area. The land is high, dry and open, ringed by the ridges of the Sierra Madre Oriental, and on a map the city appears as a sequence of neighbourhoods, industrial parks and highway corridors laid out across the valley floor.
Over recent decades the city has become one of Mexico's major automotive manufacturing centres, and the large rectangular footprints of assembly plants and supplier parks are among the most prominent shapes on its plan. The town takes its name from Miguel Ramos Arizpe, a priest and politician born here who is remembered as a founder of Mexican federalism.
A Ramos Arizpe map poster captures a place still taking shape: an older compact centre, broad industrial blocks, curving residential developments and the highways that tie them to Saltillo and Monterrey. The mountains beyond the frame are felt in the way the roads funnel through the valley. It is a fitting image for anyone whose working life is connected to the city.
Vast rectangular plants and warehouse lots form bold, simple shapes on the map, reflecting the automotive industry that has driven so much of the city's growth.
The original town core holds a smaller, tighter grid of streets around its central square, a finer texture that stands out among the larger modern blocks.
Major roads run toward Saltillo and north toward Monterrey, and much of the city's development lines up along these routes across the valley floor.

Koteā ko Ramos Arizpe
Many people came to Ramos Arizpe for work in its plants and built their lives here. A map of the city marks that chapter clearly, whether it hangs at home, in an office or as a gift for someone moving on.
