Reynoldsburg sits on the eastern edge of the Columbus metropolitan area in central Ohio, spread across parts of Franklin, Licking and Fairfield counties. Its oldest streets line East Main Street, the route of the historic National Road. Around that original spine the city grew outward in postwar subdivisions of loops, cul-de-sacs and gently curving drives, with Interstate 70 running along its southern side.
The city calls itself the birthplace of the tomato. In the nineteenth century, local seedsman Alexander Livingston developed commercial tomato varieties here, and Reynoldsburg marks that history with an annual Tomato Festival. Blacklick Creek runs north to south through the city, and parks and green corridors follow its course, breaking up the residential pattern.
