Rockledge Map Poster & Print
Rockledge lies in Brevard County on Florida's Space Coast, and its map is shaped by the Indian River Lagoon. The town runs along the lagoon's western shore. A scenic riverside road follows the water, and suburban streets extend inland across the flat coastal land.
Incorporated in 1887, Rockledge is one of the oldest cities in Brevard County. Its name comes from the ledges of coquina rock along the shoreline. The older riverfront area has winding roads and large lots, while newer neighbourhoods to the west are laid out in loops and cul-de-sacs.
A Rockledge map poster shows the long line of the shore, the broad empty space of the lagoon and the barrier islands beyond. From here the Kennedy Space Center launch area is not far to the north, and rocket launches are part of local life.

Wide lagoon
The broad water of the Indian River fills much of the composition. It separates the mainland streets from the barrier islands and the Atlantic coast farther east.
Suburban loops
West of the older riverfront, curving streets and cul-de-sacs form rounded patterns that are typical of Florida suburbs built in recent decades.
