Te mapa
Saint-Omer, in the Pas-de-Calais, grew on slightly higher ground at the edge of a wide wetland. From above, the historic centre is a compact knot of irregular streets and squares, loosely enclosed by boulevards and green space where fortifications once stood. The river Aa and its canalised branches pass close by, linking the town to the low country that stretches toward the North Sea.
The most striking feature on the map lies just beyond the centre: the Marais Audomarois, a marshland crossed by a dense network of narrow waterways. Market gardeners have worked these plots for centuries, travelling by flat-bottomed boat, and the area is recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. On paper it looks like fine lacework beside the solid mass of the town.
The Cathedral of Notre-Dame anchors the town, and the public garden sits on the old ramparts to the west. A Saint-Omer map poster brings these layers together: the medieval street plan, the lines of the fortifications and the watery grid of the marsh, all drawn with the same clean, even stroke.
A fine network of canals and drainage channels spreads through the marshland beside the town, forming one of the most intricate water patterns in northern France.
The historic centre is a tight cluster of winding streets and small squares around the cathedral, easy to read within the ring of later boulevards.
The public garden laid out on former fortifications forms a green edge on the west side, where the outline of the old defences can still be traced.

Koteā ko Saint-Omer
Saint-Omer makes a strong print because it holds two very different textures side by side: the dense old town and the delicate marsh. It suits people from the Audomarois, admirers of northern French towns, or anyone drawn to maps where water does most of the drawing.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle with a date or a short dedication, and keep the coordinates line. Paper and Sand bring out the historic character and Blueprint emphasises the canals. Classic black & white and Noir complete the five styles on offer.
