Te mapa
Salqīn is a town in Idlib Governorate in northwestern Syria, close to the border with Turkey. It sits in hilly country, and the land around it has long been known for olive cultivation. On a map the town appears as a dense core of streets that thins out into a looser pattern as it climbs the surrounding slopes.
The shape of the town is driven by the terrain. Roads follow the contours and valleys rather than a grid, curving around hills and splitting at the edges of the built-up area. Beyond the town, the map is filled with the fine pattern of agricultural plots and tracks, the olive groves that dominate this part of Syria.
A Salqīn map poster is an image of a place where the land comes first: a town shaped by its hills, surrounded by orchards and linked to its neighbours by winding roads. For people with roots in the Idlib region, it offers a clear record of home, drawn with quiet precision.
The streets bend and branch to fit the slopes, giving the town an organic, uneven outline rather than the straight lines of a planned grid.
Around the town, small fields and orchard plots cover the hills, creating a fine, detailed texture that fills the outer parts of the map.
Roads leave the town along valleys and ridges, curving through the landscape toward nearby villages and the wider Idlib region.
