Te mapa
Sam Phran is a town in Nakhon Pathom Province, on the western edge of the Bangkok metropolitan region. It sits on the Tha Chin River, known along this stretch as the Nakhon Chai Si River, which loops through the district on its way to the Gulf of Thailand. The town has grown along the riverbanks and along the main roads leading toward Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom.
The surrounding land is flat and low, crossed by canals and planted with orchards, rice and vegetables, with housing estates and factories increasingly filling the spaces between. Sam Phran is known for its riverside gardens and cultural attractions that draw day visitors from Bangkok, and the district has a long association with fruit growing along the water.
A Sam Phran map poster is shaped by the meanders of the river. Its loops cross the frame in broad curves, canals branch off in straight lines, and the streets form clusters along the banks and roads. The mix of natural curves and man-made channels makes for a rich, balanced design that feels distinctly of central Thailand.
The river winds through the district in wide loops, the dominant shape on the map, with the town gathered along its banks.
Straight canals cut across the flat land, a reminder of how water has been managed for transport and farming in central Thailand for generations.
Main roads lead east toward the capital, lined with newer developments that show how the city's growth is reaching into the district.
