Te mapa
Sampués is a municipality in the Sucre department of northern Colombia, a short distance south of Sincelejo, the department's capital. It lies in the savanna region of the Caribbean lowlands, and on a map the town appears as a compact urban centre surrounded by farmland, pasture and scattered rural communities.
The town has a grid of streets around its central square and church, and the main highway connecting Sincelejo with the south passes close by, giving the town a clear primary axis. Sampués is known regionally for artisan work, particularly items woven from caña flecha fibre, including the traditional sombrero vueltiao associated with this part of Colombia.
A Sampués map poster shows a typical Caribbean Colombian town: a regular grid, a central plaza and roads leading out to the countryside. The open land around the town gives the composition space, with the centre clearly visible in the middle.
Streets form a regular grid around the central square, creating a clear and compact block pattern in the centre of the map.
The main road toward Sincelejo passes by the town, forming a strong line that connects Sampués with the wider region.
Farmland and pasture spread around the town, leaving the edges of the map open and crossed only by rural roads.
