Te mapa
San Antero lies in the department of Córdoba on Colombia's Caribbean coast, beside the Bay of Cispatá. The map is dominated by water: the bay, the channels of the old Sinú delta and the lagoons that fill the low ground between them. The town itself is a compact grid of blocks on slightly firmer ground, surrounded by a landscape that shifts between land and water.
The Cispatá mangroves are among the best-known mangrove forests on Colombia's Caribbean coast, and they form an intricate pattern of channels and islands on the map. The area is protected and supports fishing and small-scale tourism, with boats moving between the town, the bay and the open sea through narrow waterways.
San Antero is also known for the Festival Nacional del Burro, a playful celebration of the donkey held every year during Holy Week, which has made the town familiar across Colombia. A San Antero map poster captures its unusual setting, the grid of the town, the bay and the mangrove channels in fine detail.
The wide bay opens to the Caribbean just beyond the town, its smooth shoreline contrasting with the fragmented coast of mangroves and islets.
Narrow waterways wind through dense mangroves, drawing a complex pattern of islands and inlets that is the most intricate part of the map.
The centre follows a regular grid of streets and blocks, a clear geometric core set against the irregular water landscape around it.
