Te mapa
San Jose is the largest town in Occidental Mindoro, on the island's southwestern coast facing the Mindoro Strait. It occupies a coastal plain between the sea and the mountains of the interior. On a map, the town centre forms a compact grid near the shore, with roads stretching north and east through open farmland and small settlements.
Its port and airport make it the main gateway to the southern part of the province, and a centre for trade in rice and fish. Offshore, several islands, including Ilin Island, lie close to the coast. Channels between them give the shoreline in front of the town a more complex shape than a straight beach.
A San Jose map poster shows a town defined by where it meets the water. The street grid is at its densest close to the shore and gradually loosens inland. Rivers wind across the plain to the sea, and the nearby islands add outlines that fill out the coastal part of the composition.
Islands such as Ilin lie just offshore. Seen from above, their outlines and the channels between them frame the waters in front of the town.
The central streets form a tight grid close to the coast, where the port, the market and the main civic buildings are concentrated.
Inland, roads and rivers cross a wide flat plain of farmland before the land rises toward the mountains in the interior of Mindoro.

Koteā ko San Jose
San Jose is home port for many families in Occidental Mindoro, and a first glimpse of the island for travellers arriving by air or sea. A map of its shoreline and streets is a calm reminder of the place.
You can edit the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, adding a barangay name or a meaningful date. Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, all of which show the islands and coast clearly.
