Te mapa
Siargao lies off the northeastern tip of Mindanao and faces the Pacific directly. Its outline is roughly teardrop-shaped, but the shore is complex. The western and southern sides break into mangrove channels, small islets and inlets. The eastern coast is exposed to ocean swell, and roads follow much of the shoreline, linking the towns.
Siargao is best known for surfing, especially Cloud 9, a reef break near General Luna that made the island famous with surfers. It also has one of the largest mangrove forest reserves in the Philippines, around Del Carmen. In 2021 Typhoon Rai hit the island hard, and much has been rebuilt since.
A Siargao map poster shows both sides of the island. The mangroves form an intricate network of water and land on one side, while the coastal road and surf towns sit along the other. Offshore islets and sandbars scattered around the edge add detail, even at a small scale.
On the southeastern coast, the surf town near Cloud 9 has the island's densest cluster of streets. Most visitors know it before any other part of Siargao.
On the western side, winding channels divide the land into small shapes, creating one of the most detailed patterns on the island map.
A road follows much of the island's edge between towns, so the island reads as a ring of settlements around a quieter interior.

Koteā ko Siargao
For surfers, travellers and people who stayed longer than planned, Siargao is a specific memory: a break, a town or a season. The map keeps that memory without looking like a holiday snapshot.
