Te mapa
Spassk-Dal’niy is a town in Primorsky Krai in Russia's Far East, on the Trans-Siberian Railway north of Vladivostok. It lies on the low plain a short distance east of Lake Khanka, the large lake shared with China. The flat ground allowed a fairly regular layout, and the railway forms a firm spine through the town.
The town grew from a nineteenth-century settlement of migrants from European Russia and later developed into an industrial centre known above all for cement production. On the map, older low-rise streets sit beside the larger rectangular blocks of Soviet housing, with industrial sites and rail yards strung along the tracks.
A Spassk-Dal’niy map poster renders that plain, purposeful layout as a precise, balanced print. The straight line of the railway, the grid of residential quarters and the open farmland and wetlands around the edges make a composition with clear structure. It is a fitting keepsake for people who grew up in Primorye or served there.
The railway runs through the town as a strong, continuous line, with yards and sidings branching from it. It organises the whole plan and is one of the first things you notice on the poster.
Large rectangular residential blocks with courtyards form a regular texture across much of the town, contrasting with the finer, older street grid of the low-rise districts.
Farmland and marshy lowlands stretch towards Lake Khanka to the west. On the map this open ground frames the town and emphasises its position on a wide, level plain.
