Te mapa
Sun City Center was established in the early 1960s by developer Del Webb as one of the first large age-restricted communities in the United States. It lies in southern Hillsborough County, not far from Tampa Bay, and its map reflects its planned origins: looping residential streets, cul-de-sacs, and neighbourhoods arranged around golf courses rather than a traditional town centre.
From above, fairways appear as long, soft-edged open spaces winding between houses, and stormwater ponds dot the landscape in rounded shapes. Main roads are few and broad, with quieter streets branching from them. A Sun City Center map poster turns this pattern into an unusual, almost organic image, very different from the gridded towns found elsewhere in the state.
The community is known for its active social life, with clubs, recreation facilities and golf carts as a common way of getting around. Many residents arrive from other parts of the country, so the place often carries the meaning of a chosen home, a deliberate move made for a new stage of life.
Fairways thread through the residential areas as wide, meandering open bands, giving the map its most recognisable feature and separating neighbourhoods from one another.
Numerous small lakes and ponds, typical of flat Florida terrain, appear as rounded shapes scattered among the houses and along the edges of the courses.
Residential roads curve and circle back on themselves, with many cul-de-sacs, forming a pattern that reads almost like a drawing rather than a grid.

Koteā ko Sun City Center
A move to Sun City Center is often a milestone, and a map of the new neighbourhood makes a fitting housewarming or retirement gift. It also appeals to children and grandchildren who visit regularly and have come to know the streets and courses.
Mark the map with a title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps including the year of the move, and choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 HD download covers six sizes up to 24×36″, or you can order a finished print.
