Te mapa
Takada is the central area of Yōrō town in the south-west of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It lies at the point where the flat, low-lying Nōbi Plain meets the Yōrō mountains to the west. The plain is densely farmed, with a close pattern of rice paddies and irrigation channels, and the settled area follows the foot of the slope.
From above, the town forms a band along the base of the mountains, with streets and a rail line running roughly north to south. To the east, the map opens into the geometric field pattern of the plain. To the west, the land rises into forest. The nearby Yōrō Falls is a well-known scenic spot tied to local legend.
A Takada map poster captures this clear division between plain and mountain. The ordered fields, the linear town and the empty wooded slopes create a composition with strong contrast. It works well as a quiet, understated print.
The town extends along the foot of the Yōrō mountains, forming a narrow north-to-south band of streets where the slopes meet the plain.
To the east, the flat plain is divided into rice paddies and channels, creating a fine geometric pattern that fills much of the map.
The forested Yōrō mountains rise to the west. With few roads, they appear as open space, giving the poster a strong, clean edge.
