Te mapa
Taylor is a city in Wayne County, Michigan, one of the Downriver communities south-west of Detroit. It grew quickly in the decades after the Second World War, when car-industry jobs brought new families to the area, and much of its housing dates from that period. It sits a short drive from Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
The map is organised by Michigan's mile-road grid. Wide, straight arterials divide the city into large squares, and each square is filled with curving or rectilinear residential streets, schools and small parks. Commercial strips line the main roads, and highways cut across the grid at an angle.
A Taylor map poster turns this suburban plan into a clean graphic pattern: strong straight lines, finer street textures inside them and occasional patches of green. It is an honest picture of a working Midwestern suburb.

Postwar neighbourhoods filling each grid square with tight rows of houses, loops and cul-de-sacs, the finest detail on the map.
Interstates and major roads crossing the grid at an angle, linking Taylor to Detroit, the airport and the rest of Downriver.

Koteā ko Taylor
If you grew up in Taylor, bought your first house there or still have family on one of its streets, this map is instantly recognisable. The regular grid looks graphic and modern on a wall and works in almost any room.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps your street or the year you moved in, and adjust the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the engineered grid, Noir makes it bold, and Classic black & white keeps it plain.
