Te mapa
Tha Bo is a town in Nong Khai Province, in northeastern Thailand, set on the bank of the Mekong River upstream from Nong Khai city. Across the river lies Laos, and on a map the Mekong is by far the strongest feature: a wide band of water curving along the northern edge of the town, with streets running parallel to the bank and others leading inland.
The riverside plain around Tha Bo is fertile, and the district is known for growing vegetables and other crops on land close to the Mekong. Beyond the town the map shows a mix of fields, small channels and villages linked by straight farm roads, while the main road toward Nong Khai follows the course of the river valley.
A Tha Bo map poster suits anyone who values a strong natural element in a composition. The broad river gives the print weight and direction, the town's streets add finer detail, and the open land on the Lao side forms a counterpoint across the water. The balance works at every size, from A3 to 24×36″.
The Mekong forms a wide curved band along the town's edge, a strong line that dominates the composition and marks the border with Laos.
Streets run parallel to the riverbank before turning inland, creating a clear pattern of long axes and cross streets through the town centre.
Inland, fields and small channels stretch away from the river, forming a patchwork of rectangular plots that softens the outer parts of the map.

Koteā ko Tha Bo
A river town leaves a strong impression, whether from growing up by the water or from a slow journey along the Mekong. A map of Tha Bo keeps that setting close in a form that is calm and unfussy.
