Te mapa
Tino lies just south of Palmaria, off the promontory of Porto Venere in Liguria, with the even smaller rock of Tinetto beyond it. The three islands and the Porto Venere coast belong to a UNESCO World Heritage listing shared with the Cinque Terre. Tino itself is compact and steep, covered in Mediterranean woodland, and falls sharply to the sea.
The island is a military zone, so it has no public roads or settlements, and its map is almost pure outline. It is a small, rounded shape with a lighthouse at its highest point, set in the channel between Palmaria and Tinetto. A Tino map poster works best framed wide enough to show the neighbouring islands and the tip of the mainland, so the chain reads as a whole.
The island is associated with Saint Venerius, a hermit who lived there in the early Middle Ages and is the patron saint of the Gulf of La Spezia. Remains of a medieval monastery dedicated to him survive. The island opens to visitors only on limited occasions, most notably around his feast day in September.
Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto step away from the tip of Porto Venere in a short line, each smaller than the last, a neat progression on the map.
A lighthouse stands at the island's highest point and guides ships into the Gulf of La Spezia. It is the one built landmark that anchors the small outline.
The coastline is short and abrupt, with rock dropping quickly into deep water and dense woodland covering nearly all of the island's surface.

Koteā ko Tino
Tino rarely appears on travel itineraries, and that is why it appeals to people who know the Ligurian coast well: sailors who pass it on their way out of the gulf, families from La Spezia, and those who have made the September crossing to the saint's island.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the print can name the gulf or the three islands together. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, check the free 900 px preview, and download the six HD print sizes for $9.
