Te mapa
Touros sits near the north-eastern tip of Brazil, where the Atlantic coast bends from its northward run toward the west. On a map, that change of direction is the defining feature. The shoreline curves around the municipality, with long beaches, pale reefs offshore and dunes and coconut groves just inland.
The town itself is a modest grid of streets along the coast. Nearby is the Farol do Calcanhar, the lighthouse that marks this corner of the continent. Touros is also known for the Marco de Touros, a stone marker set up by early Portuguese voyagers. It is often cited as one of the oldest colonial monuments in the country.
A Touros map poster shows the edge of a continent in a single frame. The coast does most of the work, and the town, the lighthouse point and the roads inland sit against it as small, precise details.
The shoreline bends at Touros from north-facing to east-facing. This makes the municipality one of the clearest corners on Brazil's map and gives the poster its sweep.
The Farol do Calcanhar stands on the point near town. On the map, it marks the spot where the coastline turns and where the reefs lie closest to shore.
The town is a compact set of streets parallel and perpendicular to the beach. It sits neatly between the ocean and the flat, sandy land behind it.

Koteā ko Touros
Touros is a place people remember for its light, its wind and its long empty beaches. A map of the coastline brings some of that openness to a wall far from the sea.
