Te mapa
Umbaúba lies in the south of Sergipe, Brazil's smallest state, not far from the border with Bahia. From above, the town is a compact grid of blocks shaped by the highway that passes alongside it, the BR-101, which runs along much of Brazil's eastern seaboard. Around the town, the map opens into farmland, including the citrus groves typical of southern Sergipe.
The highway gives the town a clear spine, with commerce collecting near the road and residential streets extending away from it. Like many towns in the Brazilian northeast, Umbaúba has a central square and church from which the older streets run outward. The Atlantic coast lies to the east, beyond a band of low, green countryside.
An Umbaúba map poster shows the practical shape of a highway town: the long line of the road, the regular blocks beside it and the rural network of tracks beyond. Clean black lines turn this ordinary geometry into a clear and personal portrait of a place that seldom appears on printed maps.
The federal highway runs past the town, a long, strong line on the map that links Umbaúba with Aracaju to the north and Bahia to the south.
The town's streets form a regular pattern of blocks around a central square, dense near the centre and loosening toward the edges.
Beyond the built area, the map shows farmland, groves and scattered tracks across gently rolling land that stretches toward the coast.
