Suburban loops
Curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs form tight, repeating shapes. That gives the map a fine rhythmic texture typical of postwar Southern California suburbs.

Valinda Map Poster & Print
Valinda is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, in the eastern San Gabriel Valley. From above, it shows a characteristic Southern California pattern. Residential streets form a mix of short grids and curving loops, with houses on regular lots and schools and parks spread through the neighbourhoods.
The community is bounded by larger roads and by its neighbours, including La Puente, West Covina and Hacienda Heights. The land here is fairly flat, and the main arterials cut through in long straight lines, with shopping centres at the major crossings. To the south, the Puente Hills rise and the street pattern gives way to steeper, winding terrain.
A Valinda map poster captures the suburb in clear detail: houses in rows, cul-de-sacs, school grounds and parks as open shapes, and the arterials that carry traffic across the valley. For people who grew up here, those streets hold the memory of daily routes to school, work and family.

Arterial grid
Major roads run in long straight lines through and around the community, dividing it into large blocks and linking it to the rest of the valley.
Puente Hills edge
The hills to the south bring irregular slopes and winding roads to the edge of the map, a contrast with the flat suburban grid.
