Víctor Rosales, commonly known as Calera, is the seat of the municipality of Calera de Víctor Rosales in the Mexican state of Zacatecas. It lies on the high central plateau, northwest of the state capital, in an open landscape of farmland and distant hills. The town takes its name from Víctor Rosales, an insurgent leader of the Mexican War of Independence.
From above, the town follows the orderly grid common to many Mexican towns, with straight streets crossing at right angles and blocks arranged around a central core. Around it, the plateau opens into large rectangular fields crossed by farm roads, a patchwork of agriculture that extends far beyond the town's edges and fills most of the surrounding frame.
A Víctor Rosales map poster captures this relationship between town and field. The grid of the centre gives the image a dense, regular core, while the surrounding plain spreads out in broad geometric shapes. It is a map of high, dry country and patient agriculture, well suited to anyone from Calera or from the wider Zacatecas region who wants the town's outline at home.
Straight streets meet at right angles across the centre, forming a tidy pattern of square and rectangular blocks that reads clearly even at the smallest print sizes.
Large cultivated plots surround the town on the high plain, their straight boundaries creating a bold, geometric patchwork around the finer urban grid at the edges of the poster.
Highways and rural roads leave the town in long straight lines across the open plateau, linking it with the state capital and neighbouring farming communities.

People from Calera often hang its map to keep a clear picture of home, especially those who have moved elsewhere in Mexico or to the United States. The strong grid and wide fields make an image that is simple, balanced and easy to live with.
The poster's title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can write Calera, add a family name or mark a special date. Pick from five styles and print at 30×40 cm, 50×70 cm, A3, A2, 18×24″ or 24×36″.
