Te mapa
Victorias lies on the north-western coastal plain of Negros Occidental, facing the Guimaras Strait. On a map, the town centre is a compact grid near the coast. The land around it is laid out in long, regular cane fields separated by farm roads and drainage ditches that run down to the sea.
Sugar defines the place. The Victorias Milling Company, one of the largest sugar mills in the Philippines, occupies a big compound north of the town proper, with its own streets, housing and rail lines once used to carry cane. On the map, the mill district looks like a second town next to the first.
Inside the mill compound stands the St. Joseph the Worker Chapel, known for its mural of the so-called Angry Christ by Alfonso Ossorio. A Victorias map poster brings together the town grid, the mill and the fields, showing how one industry shaped everything around it.
Rectangular sugar fields spread across the plain in every direction. On the map they create a regular, striped texture.
The Victorias Milling Company grounds form a separate district with their own roads and buildings. They sit next to the older town like a twin.
The land slopes gently down to the Guimaras Strait. The shoreline gives the composition a calm western edge.

Koteā ko Victorias
For Negrenses at home and overseas, Victorias brings back memories of milling season, the chapel mural and family houses near the plaza. A clean map of the town is a quiet way to keep that connection on a wall.
