Te mapa
Vladimir sits on a ridge above the Klyazma River, and the city's oldest streets follow that ridge from west to east. The main road runs almost straight along the top of the bank, past the Golden Gate and the cathedral quarter. Below it, the land drops steeply to the river and the railway. From above, the historic core is a narrow band with the floodplain opening wide to the south.
In the twelfth century this was the capital of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality, and three of its white limestone buildings survive: the Golden Gate of 1164, the Assumption Cathedral and the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius. Together with nearby monuments they are listed by UNESCO as the White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal. Vladimir is also a regular stop on the Golden Ring route of historic towns.
Beyond the old core, the city spreads north in Soviet-era districts of broad avenues and residential blocks, with forest close by on several sides. A Vladimir map poster shows the contrast between the linear medieval spine above the river and the looser grid of later neighbourhoods, all framed by the meanders of the Klyazma.
The old western entrance to the fortified town stands where traffic divides around it. It forms a small knot in the road network and marks the edge of the twelfth-century city.
The Assumption and Saint Demetrius cathedrals stand on the edge of the bluff. Parks and paths around them step down toward the river, making this one of the greenest parts of the map.
South of the centre the river winds through low meadows. Its loops and oxbow lakes make soft curves against the straight line of the railway at the foot of the bank.

Koteā ko Vladimir
Vladimir draws people who studied, married or grew up here, and travellers on the Golden Ring who want a keepsake that goes beyond a photograph. A map keeps the whole ridge in view. You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a date or a name.
The five styles each set a different mood: Classic black and white for clean lines, Noir for a dark wall, Paper or Sand for warmth, and Blueprint for a technical look. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame from partners in more than 30 countries.
