Willow Grove lies in Montgomery County, north of Philadelphia. It's a classic American inner suburb, and its map shows it: older streets gather around the main crossroads, the curving residential streets of later developments spread outward, and Easton Road runs through the middle as the main north–south route.
For decades the town was known for Willow Grove Park, an amusement park reached by trolley from Philadelphia, where John Philip Sousa's band often performed. The site later became a shopping mall.
