Te mapa
Wufeng is a district of Taichung in central Taiwan. It sits on the eastern side of the Taichung basin, where the flat land meets the foothills of the island's central mountains. On a map the district shows two faces. There is a dense, fine-grained network of streets on the plain and a scattering of winding roads as the terrain rises to the east.
The area is known for the Lin family of Wufeng, one of Taiwan's most prominent historical families. Their mansion and garden complex is among the island's notable examples of traditional residential architecture. Wufeng was also for decades the seat of Taiwan's provincial legislature, whose former grounds remain a part of the district.
A Wufeng map poster captures the line where city becomes hillside. Streets and lanes crowd the lowland, rivers and irrigation channels cross from the hills, and the road pattern thins out and bends on the slopes. It is a subtle, layered map that rewards close viewing.

The historic Lin family residence and garden is a large complex within the district. It is one of the best-known traditional mansions in Taiwan.
To the east the ground rises into the foothills. Roads begin to wind with the contours, and the poster becomes more open and flowing.
