Te mapa
Xuancheng lies in southeastern Anhui, where the plains of the lower Yangtze region give way to the hills of the south. The Shuiyang River runs along the city's eastern side, and the urban area spreads westward from its banks across gently undulating ground, with ponds and small lakes scattered between the blocks.
North of the city rises Jingting Mountain, made famous by the Tang poet Li Bai, whose short poem about sitting alone with the mountain is among the best known in Chinese literature. The prefecture is also the home of Xuan paper, the fine paper used for calligraphy and painting, still produced in nearby Jingxian.
A Xuancheng map poster combines these elements into a quiet, balanced composition. The older centre shows closer, irregular streets, newer districts follow straighter avenues, and the river and hills set the natural limits. For a place so closely linked to paper and ink, a monochrome map feels especially appropriate.
The river curves along the eastern edge of the city, providing a soft natural boundary that the street network follows and crosses.
The wooded hills to the north appear as an open area on the map, the landscape celebrated in one of Li Bai's most famous poems.
The historic core has a denser and more irregular pattern of lanes, contrasting with the broad blocks of recent development around it.

Koteā ko Xuancheng
Xuancheng speaks to calligraphers, painters and lovers of classical poetry, as well as those who call the city home. A black-and-white map echoes the ink-on-paper tradition the region is known for and needs no further decoration.
Personalise the title with a name, a line of verse or a date, and adjust the subtitle and coordinates. Among the five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, the Paper style suits Xuancheng particularly well.
