Te mapa
Yellāpur lies in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, high in the Western Ghats between the Deccan plateau and the Arabian Sea coast. The town sits among heavily forested hills, and on a map its streets form a modest cluster along the main highway that climbs through the ghats, with the surrounding woodland leaving large blank spaces between settlements.
The area is known for its waterfalls and river valleys. Sathodi Falls and Magod Falls are both reached from Yellāpur, and the rivers that feed them cut deep, curving valleys through the forest on their way west toward the sea. On paper, these appear as fine meandering lines that contrast with the looser curves of the hill roads.
A Yellāpur map poster shows a town defined more by its setting than its size. The road network is sparse and organic, shaped by slopes rather than planning, and the empty forest around it gives the composition generous negative space. It suits anyone drawn to the quieter, greener side of Karnataka.
The main road across the Western Ghats passes through town, forming the spine of the street plan and linking the coast with the plateau towns inland.
Large stretches of forest surround Yellāpur, so the map shows few roads beyond the town, with tracks following ridges and valley floors.
Sathodi and Magod falls lie in the surrounding hills, reached along the river valleys that thread through the forest west of the town.
