Te mapa
Yuanping lies in the north of Shanxi. It is a county-level city under Xinzhou, spread across the flat floor of the Xinding Basin. From above it reads as a tight rectangle of blocks surrounded by fields, village clusters and irrigation lines. The Hutuo River runs through the surrounding countryside, and higher ground rises at the edges of the basin, so the town sits in a shallow bowl rather than on an open plain.
The street pattern is simple and orderly, like many northern Chinese county towns that grew quickly in recent decades. Wide arterial roads divide the centre into large blocks, and newer districts extend outward along them. Railways approach from several directions. Yuanping is the western end of the Beijing–Yuanping line, and its tracks add long, confident curves across the grid.
On a Yuanping map poster that combination becomes the subject: a dense core, a thinning fringe of roads and the river tracing its own route through the fields. It is a quiet, legible composition, well suited to anyone with family roots in Xinzhou or memories of the basin, and it keeps its structure at every print size.
The Hutuo River crosses the Xinding Basin on its way east toward the North China Plain, drawing a meandering line through the farmland around the city.
Rail lines reach Yuanping from several directions, including the Beijing–Yuanping railway that ends here, so long sweeping tracks frame the compact grid of the town centre.
At wider framings, the flat valley floor laced with roads and field boundaries contrasts clearly with the emptier, less settled higher ground that encloses the Xinding Basin.

Koteā ko Yuanping
People usually choose Yuanping for personal reasons: a hometown, a family house in the basin, a job at a local plant or school. A map this plain in outline carries those memories without distraction, and it fits a study wall or hallway as easily as a living room.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a family name or a date that matters. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper.
