Te mapa
Lüliang takes its name from the Lüliang Mountains, the range that runs north to south through western Shanxi. The urban centre, Lishi District, lies in a valley among loess hills. The built-up area follows the flat ground along the river, so it stretches out in a long band rather than spreading evenly in every direction.
The valley setting gives the city a distinctive outline. Main roads run parallel to the river, bridges cross it at intervals, and side streets climb only a short way before they meet slopes too steep to build on. Newer districts have extended the city along the same corridor, so the map reads as a line of neighbourhoods threaded between the hills.
The prefecture reaches west to the Yellow River and includes Fenyang, home of Fenjiu, one of China's best-known baijiu liquors. Much of the land in between is rugged loess country, cut by gullies and terraced fields. A Lüliang map poster stays focused on the city in the valley, where the pattern of river, road and hillside is clearest.
The centre follows a river valley, so streets and blocks form a narrow, elongated shape. The water and its bridges give the composition a clear central line.
The surrounding hills are largely unbuilt. They leave wide open margins on the map that frame the city and show how closely it keeps to the valley floor.
Newer development extends the city along the valley rather than up the slopes. This adds length to the map and a sense of movement from one end to the other.

Koteā ko Lüliang
Lüliang is hung by people who know it from the inside: people who grew up among its hills, moved away for work or study, and want a quiet reminder of home. Its linear shape makes a clean, balanced print.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the poster can name a district or a year. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files or order a printed poster.
