Te mapa
Zeramedine lies inland in the Monastir Governorate, in the Sahel region of eastern Tunisia, some distance from the resort coast. From above, the town is compact. The older quarter is a tight cluster of narrow, irregular lanes, and newer streets with more regular blocks spread outward along the main roads.
The land around it is flat to gently rolling and largely taken up by olive groves, the traditional agriculture of the Sahel. On a map, these areas show up as wide open space crossed by straight farm tracks and roads linking Zeramedine to the neighbouring towns. Together they form a network of small settlements typical of this part of Tunisia.
A Zeramedine map poster emphasises the contrast between the dense, organic center and the orderly open land around it. There is no coastline or river to dominate the image, so the texture of the streets carries the design, turning a small Sahel town into an intricate, balanced composition.
At the center, narrow lanes and closely packed blocks form an irregular pattern that looks almost like woven fabric in black and white.
Large open areas of olive groves surround the town, crossed by straight tracks and field boundaries typical of the Sahel.
Main roads run out from the center toward nearby towns, drawing clear lines through the flat terrain and connecting Zeramedine to the rest of the region.
