Te mapa
Zhanjiang sits on the Leizhou Peninsula in south-western Guangdong, the long finger of land that points toward Hainan and ends at the southernmost tip of mainland China. Its urban area wraps around Zhanjiang Bay, a deep and sheltered inlet that has made the city one of the main ports of southern China. On a map the bay is the dominant shape, pressing inland between low coastlines.
The city is divided into two main parts. Chikan, to the north, is the older commercial area, while Xiashan, to the south, grew around the port. Between and around them are wide streets, waterfront promenades and several islands in the bay, including Donghai Island, which is linked to the mainland by a long causeway.
From 1898 to 1945 the area was leased to France as Guangzhouwan, with its administrative centre at Fort-Bayard, now Xiashan, and a few colonial-era buildings survive there. Today Zhanjiang is a large industrial and shipping centre. A Zhanjiang map poster shows the long bay, the islands and the two city districts bound together by the water between them.

Two distinct urban centres, the older Chikan to the north and the port district of Xiashan to the south, connected by main roads running along the bay.

Koteā ko Zhanjiang
Zhanjiang is home to many people working in shipping, fishing and industry, as well as families with long roots on the Leizhou Peninsula. Its bay and islands make a distinctive coastal print that feels open and spacious.
Set the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or the year you moved, and edit the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles and order either a printed poster in a wooden frame or the $9 HD files for printing at home.
