Te mapa
Ziguinchor is the main city of the Casamance region in southern Senegal, set on the south bank of the Casamance River a little inland from the Atlantic. Its map is defined by water. The wide river runs along the northern edge, and around the town it breaks into winding tidal creeks, locally called bolongs, that thread through dense mangrove.
The town itself is compact, with an older quarter near the waterfront and its port, and newer neighbourhoods spreading south and east over flat ground. A long bridge carries the main road north across the river, one of the few straight lines in a landscape otherwise shaped by curving shorelines and marshy margins.
Ziguinchor has long been a trading and administrative centre, and for many travellers it is the gateway to the beaches and villages of Lower Casamance. A Ziguinchor map poster captures the place where the town meets the river, a composition in which water and land are almost equal partners on the page.

Narrow tidal channels branch through the surrounding wetlands, drawing fine, organic lines that contrast with the straighter streets of the town.
A long bridge spans the Casamance north of the centre, carrying the road toward northern Senegal across a wide stretch of open water.

Koteā ko Ziguinchor
For people from Casamance, or those who spent time there working, teaching or travelling, this map is a reminder of a place defined by its river and its slower rhythm. It makes a thoughtful gift for someone living far from home.
Add a family name, a year or a short phrase in the title and subtitle, keep or edit the coordinates line, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint makes the water especially legible.
