关于地图
Mumias Map Poster & Print
Mumias lies in Kakamega County, western Kenya, in a fertile, gently rolling area not far from the Nzoia River. The map shows a small commercial centre where several roads meet, with homes and plots spreading outward in a loose, informal pattern that gradually gives way to farmland.
For much of the twentieth century and later, the town was closely linked to sugarcane. A large sugar company operated here, and cane fields covered much of the surrounding land. On the map, the countryside appears as a mix of field boundaries, tracks and scattered compounds rather than a dense urban grid.
Mumias also has deep historical roots as the seat of the Wanga kingdom, and the town takes its name from Nabongo Mumia, one of its best-known rulers. A Mumias map poster shows a town that serves as a crossroads for its farming region, with roads fanning out across the green country around it.

Farmland patchwork
Around the town, small plots and former cane fields create a fine texture of tracks and boundaries that fills the edges of the poster.
Seat of the Wanga
The town was the historical centre of the Wanga kingdom and carries the name of Nabongo Mumia, which gives the place a strong local identity.
