The map
Batu Anam is a small town in the Segamat district of northern Johor, near the state's border with Negeri Sembilan. On a map, its built-up area is compact, concentrated along a main road and the railway line that passes through this part of the peninsula. Short streets branch off from these routes to form a modest town centre with nearby housing estates.
Beyond the centre, the landscape is dominated by agriculture, especially plantations. From above, these appear as large blocks divided by estate roads and tracks, with the occasional river or stream meandering through the rolling terrain. Kampung settlements are scattered throughout the countryside, connected to the town by narrow roads.
A Batu Anam map poster shows the relationship between a small town and the working land around it. The dense cluster of streets is set against a wide expanse of estate roads and field lines, and the railway runs as a clear, steady stroke across the composition, linking the town to the rest of the country.

A small cluster of shophouse streets and housing estates sits along the main road, forming the densest part of the composition.
Around the town, estate roads divide the land into large regular blocks, creating a lighter, geometric texture that fills the edges of the frame.

Why Batu Anam
For people who grew up in Batu Anam or whose families still live there, a map of the town is a way to keep a small place in view. It suits a hometown wall in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or further abroad.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, with a family name or a special year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Classic black & white keeps the railway and estates crisp.
