The map
Boboniessoko is a locality in the Sassandra-Marahoué district of Ivory Coast, in the west-central part of the country, not far from Daloa. The surrounding region is agricultural, with plantations and patches of forest, and from above the town appears as a cluster of streets and houses set in green land.
The layout is simple: a central area where roads meet, with houses and compounds spreading along them. Dirt tracks lead out into the fields, and the settlement blends gradually into the countryside rather than ending sharply. The fabric is loose, and it follows paths and land use more than any formal plan.
On a print, Boboniessoko becomes a delicate pattern of lines and shapes surrounded by open space. A Boboniessoko map poster is a personal object for those who come from here, or whose family still lives in the area, and want a quiet reminder of the place.
The main roads meet at the heart of the settlement, forming the densest part of the map where most buildings cluster.
Unpaved tracks lead from the town into surrounding fields and plantations, drawing thin, branching lines toward the edges of the print.
Farmland and forest surround the town, leaving wide open space on the map that frames the small cluster of streets.
