About this Busumbala map poster
Busumbala lies in the Western region of the Gambia, in the Kombo area inland from the Atlantic coast and the greater Serekunda urban area. On a map, it appears as a network of lanes and compounds spreading outward, with roads linking it to nearby towns.
The street pattern is largely informal, with lanes set between walled compounds rather than laid out on a strict grid. Towards the edges, the built-up area thins out into fields, gardens and open ground, reflecting how the settlement has grown with the region around it.
A Busumbala map poster turns this organic pattern into a delicate, detailed design. It is a personal piece for families from the town and for Gambians abroad who want a piece of home on the wall.
