The map
Cape Coast lies on the Gulf of Guinea in Ghana's Central Region, and its map is shaped by the shoreline and a series of small hills. Streets in the old town wind between these rises and down toward the sea, and the Fosu Lagoon sits just inland. Newer neighbourhoods and the university campus extend west along the coast road.
Cape Coast Castle was built as a trading post and later became a centre of the Atlantic slave trade. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place of remembrance for the African diaspora. The town was the capital of the British Gold Coast until 1877 and is still known for its secondary schools, including Mfantsipim and Wesley Girls' High School.
A Cape Coast map poster sets the castle's shape against the sea, with the streets of Oguaa climbing the hills behind it. It suits former students of the town's schools, families from the Fante coast, and visitors whose journey to Ghana included this shoreline and who want to keep it close.
The castle forms a distinctive angular footprint on a rocky point, sitting exactly where the street pattern meets the Atlantic.
The lagoon behind the old town appears as a calm, irregular shape of open water that balances the long coastline on the poster.
Roads curve around the town's low hills, some topped by old forts and lookout points, giving the centre a winding, organic texture.

Why Cape Coast
Cape Coast carries deep meaning for many people: alumni, local families, and those tracing their ancestry through the castle's history. A plain, undecorated map respects that weight while still marking a place of home and learning.
Add a title and subtitle of your choice, such as a class year or a family name, and keep the coordinates line. Five styles are available, from Classic black & white to Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
